The warm days and balmy nights of the new year mark the beginning of the festival season and we thought it was about time these carnivals were given a gin of their very own! But how to capture the frivolity and merriment of a carnival in a gin? We took our minds on a delicious exploration down the food truck lane of our favourite festivals and there was one accompaniment that we just couldn’t shake. Popcorn. We replicated all of the buttery, salty and completely moreish characteristics of this snack in a gin to give you our downright scrumptious Carnival.
Juniper, Coriander, Licorice, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Popcorn, Cornflakes, Corn, Angelica, Wattleseed, Ghee.
Pot, vapour and fat wash
This gin was only possible due to Tim’s background in cocktail-making. It utilises a technique called fat-washing, which is a term that bartenders are familiar with, but not used within the distilling industry.
