Edition No.14 - Orange & Saffron

Edition No.14 - Orange & Saffron

In the 1950's, oranges were insanely expensive. The average person simply couldn't buy citrus from the supermarket, so distillers came to the rescue by making big, citrusy gins. Along with lemons and limes, oranges were considered to be a "rich people food" so we thought we'd throw back to this time by adding the outrageously expensive saffron in a boujee 1950's gin remake. We've used the upmarket T2 hibiscus tea as well for this take on a "1950's rich + 2021 rich" gin.

Fun Fact:

Saffron is the most expensive spice on earth, but in the 1950’s oranges were actually insanely expensive too - to the point where the average person couldn’t afford to buy them from the supermarket. Distillers came to the rescue by making big, citrusy gins.
