So how does this whole Juniper Society Gift Card thing work?

In a nutshell, if you’ve received a Three Month Membership, we’ll send you a 500mL bottle of Juniper Society gin at the beginning of each month – for three months. Same principle applies for the Twelve Month Membership. You have until 9PM (Perth-Time) of the last day of each month to register in time to receive the following month’s gin. So yes, if you join up on the 1st of the month, your first gin will be at least 4 weeks away!

The gins are all one-off, exclusive releases, created by the very clever and creative Old Young’s distillers (they made us write that) and are never to be repeated. Sounds simple, we know. Just happens to be simply exclusive, simply delicious and simply awesome.


When is payment taken?

What payment? The coupon you’ve received covers you. Just be sure to toast to your awesome gift-giver with each new gin!

When does my coupon expire?

You must register your membership within 6 months of the purchase date. These gift cards are currently only available for purchase as Christmas gifts, so as long as you sign-up before June 2021 you’re safe!

My gift subscription has finished, how do I get more?

If your gift has run its course, you can sign up for a one or two bottle subscription yourself. Naturally, we recommend it.

Why is it asking for payment when I try to redeem my gift?

You may have entered the code incorrectly, so double-check that you entered it right. Sometimes the system experiences a temporary memory lapse and forgets your gift code. No stress though — all you need to do is type the gift code in the ‘Coupon Code’ field just below the Order summary section.

Firstly, click on the ‘Have a coupon?’ link, then a text field labelled ‘Coupon Code’ will appear, type in your code then click ‘Apply’. You will then see a message Coupon code applied successfully, the charge  discounted and the total cost brought to $0.00. You can then click ‘Place Order’.

When can I expect my gin to arrive?

Not that there’s anything wrong with standing at the end of your driveway for two weeks looking longingly for the arrival of your gin, but hold that thought. The gins are always released at the beginning of the month. Your gin will be packed and sent to the logistics depot by the 7th of each month. Once they have processed it (which takes 1-2 days), you will start getting tracking updates from our logistics partners Wine Depot and Australia Post. Note your shipping notifications will come via Wine Depot not Old Young’s.

Do you deliver to PO Boxes and commercial addresses?

Commercial and residential addresses, no problem. PO Boxes and Parcel lockers can present some issues, in that you need to have registered with Australia Post as over 18.

Do I have to be home to sign for the parcel?

This is important! Our default will be to ask for a signature on delivery. You will have the option to change the delivery instructions to an Authority to Leave. Otherwise, if no one is home your gin will be taken back to the post-office. Note if the delivery is received by someone who appears to be under 25, you should expect that an ID showing the receiver to be over 18 will be requested.

Can you deliver outside Australia?

At this time, The Juniper Society is exclusively Australian. We can deliver to anywhere within Australia, but not internationally (we could blame COVID, but it’s really that international customs are a nightmare).

My gin hasn’t arrived - what do I do?”

Firstly, don’t panic! If you get to 14 days after your subscription payment has been successful and you haven’t received your gin, follow up with Australia Post using the tracking information supplied. If they can’t confirm where your gin is, then get in contact with us:  ( or (08) 9296 6656).

Ummm, how will I know what to pair the gin with?

We’ve got you covered! In each pack we will include information on a signature serve and some tasty, tasty cocktails you can serve up. If somehow your gin arrives without the cocktail booklet, please email us immediately at and we’ll get the recipes sent your way!

Can I drink this gin if I’m gluten intolerant?
